An Embarrassment Scrapbook

This is very much a work in progress. I have many more clippings to be scanned, but I am very much interested in your contributions. Please send me either jpegs (as MIME attachments, please) to wall@cmu.edu, or send me a note asking me for my postal address.

All submissions are subject to copyright clearance, which blessedly does not seem to be much of a problem with the interested parties (The Embos and Bar/None). However, I disclaim liability for purveying any copyrighted information without permission unknowingly because I have to, and will remove anything for which copyright protection is reasonably claimed. I think anybody who'd ask me to do this on a fan page is a royal dork, but I've met many such a dork-like entity in the past few years on the internet (sigh).

If anybody knows of additional credits/sources to report for anything that appears here, please let me know.

In order not to kill the netbandwidth any more than necessary, these are medium-quality images saved in the space-saving JPEG format. Your browser should be able to read these if it has half a brain. Click on any image below to see a larger version; this will take you to a one-page version of that image that's been optimized for viewing on a standard-sized, 256k-color computer screen.

Images are described as best I know how with shorter versions for the "alt" description if you have "images" turned off on your browser. Sizes are included for reference and refer to the image size of the large document, not the html page, which will be slightly larger (by a couple of K.)

If things are really slow for you, turn off image loading on your browser and download one by one by clicking on the alternate description name.

Two pictures of an Isetta. The Isetta is a weird Italian car, which Jim Rosencutter reports that John's family owned as a kid. The car shows up in the lyrics to "Drive Me to the Park". Isetta 1
